TNSTC buses run till Sethumadai and on some schedules as far as Top Slip – find out the last return before you go. The approach road after Sethumadai is a narrow and scenic one, keep the speed low.

Weather is most pleasant from October to March when views are crisp and wildlife activity shows up well in mornings. Monsoon brings dramatic greenery but it also brings mist, leeches and sometimes closes side paths; carry a poncho and proper shoes.
